A generous three-year grant from the Vitalyst Health Foundation provides for in-school eye exams, acuity screenings and for the students to select their special frames for their new glasses. This grant applies to low-income students with no vision insurance and those students on AHCCCS. Each student will be given a new eyeglass case to hold their new glasses. There is no charge to the families or the schools for those students that qualify.

School Schedules
On Monday, October 23, 2023, the AZ Lions Vision and Hearing Foundation celebrated the first Eye Exam Event at Whittman Elementary School, in Mesa. A total of 27 students received an eye exam, acuity screening, a prescription and selected their new eyeglass frames.
The next day, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Kerr Elementary School was visited by the team, 57 Students received an eye exam, acuity screening, a prescription and selected their new eyeglass frames.
